“The earth is our mother. Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. If men spit on the ground, they spit on themselves. This we know. The earth does not belong to man; man belongs to the earth. This we know. All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. Man does not weave the web of life, but he is merely a strand in it”
                                                                                 -Seattle Native American Chief

Now, these are the times I curse my flair for lethargy the most. When taking down the above quote, what stopped me from mentioning the source? Come on folks, the quote above is not something I picked from the google. It is one of the vignettes I have been taking down in notebooks from whatever I read. Be that as it may, the quote’s content is precious since it is an eye opener and it sounds more relevant in these trying times.

RIP all those perished in the NepalApocalypse. As of now the death toll is 8000 and still counting. Even when one life is snuffed out, one world is shut down. For him, for her or for it!

‘Shake well before use’ is what we read on bottles of lotions, juices and syrups. Blinded as she (that is Mother Earth) is, by our mindless ravaging of her resources leading to unbearable pollution so much so that she misread the messages on these innumerable bottles dumped on her surface as ‘Shake well after misuse’. Well, she shook well after we misused her! The trembler Nepal witnessed on the 25th of April 2015 was a wake-up call. You heed it or else you had it!

Maybe she was upset to watch billions of dollars going down the drain for space explorations while man never bothers to check what exactly transpires beneath one’s feet. Man never bothered to fathom the intensity of the Earth’s emotions bottled up as a cauldron that sometimes moves the tectonic plates above, if not us, her spoiled brats!
